i absolutely love this machine: so easy to use and makes perfect espresso!! i just started working at a coffee shop and became super interested in making coffee, so i wanted to do it cafe style at home! this machine works exactly like the one at the shop, and has been so easy to figure out and use. i highly recommend for any kind of coffee drinker, especially for the price and accessories included!!! (love that it came with a milk frother). one last note: the simplicity with the control knob is extremely helpful for beginners, i like that there are only two options and nothing to get confused by.

Had an issue when it died out after 4 months. After conversations with Mr. Coffee company they agreed to send me a new machine free of charge. It is on its way now. True to their word, I received the new (replacement/extra) machine today free of charge.

My son got this for my birthday. I've been wanting an espresso machine, but I didn't want an espresso machine price or size. This was the perfect balance and I would have thought my coffee was from Starbucks even I hadn't made it myself on this little machine! My shots were potent, the way I like them! After taking a little time figuring out the right amount of water - my steamed milk was perfect with just the right amount of foam. It may be small and inconspicuous but it packs a wallop when it comes to brewing and steaming. I like that its small and can fit right next to my regular coffee maker. I have the best of both worlds! I totally recommend this Mr. Coffee Espresso machine and you can't beat the price.

It's a Mr. Coffee, so it's built for Americans. You can't make a single shot of espresso; you can either make a double shot, or 4 shots. The photo is the amount of coffee you get when you make a double shot. If you think of it as a regular coffee maker that makes a reliable cup of coffee, it's decent for the price. It’s like drinking an “Americano” from Starbucks. UPDATE: after using the coffee maker for about a week, it exploded! Water, coffee grounds all over my kitchen counter, and a very scared dog. I can’t figure out how it happened, because I followed all the same steps I had every other day, so I’m returning it.

this is a STEAM espresso coffee maker..so steam is HOT..Professiona style espresso use hot water at about 198. but these do make good coffee..in just a few minutes and with no troubles...the portafilter holds enough for a full large cup..(no cup comes with it). So makes one full cup at a time..then you refill water,and empty then refill the portafilter for another cup. The portafilter is tight..for first week or so of use..TIGHT..but eases up. The fill lid is MUCH easier to tighten than the Capresso Steam...I sent that one back because of the impossible water fill lid..shape.

I bought this to try making espresso at home for the first time. I didn't want to start with a super expensive machine, so this seemed like a good way to try it out. It has worked pretty well for a year of consistent use, but now more often than not, I'm getting funny tastes in my coffee. There's an odd plasticky taste coming from somewhere in the machine, and I can't figure out what it is, but I know I probably shouldn't be drinking it. It's not an easy machine to clean, so I've been wondering if I should switch to something simpler.

All in all, it was a good way to try out espresso at home, but it only lasted about a year, and I think I may be moving on to something better.

Great coffee maker, but in only 5 months, the selector knob broke off. The design is weak. A white plastic square drive that engages the knob broke of under normal use (2 times a day, more or less). Part is not available and is not repairable. I'm ordering a new machine, though, as otherwise this is the best latte maker on the market.
